This was a custom door job in Beacon Hill to allow the home owner to easily access the top part of her closet. The closet was divided into two parts, the left for clothes and the right for utility purposes. The width and the height of all six doors had to be custom. We built the doors and frames as well as the shelving off site to eliminate the time spent in her apartment. The doors were painted to match the rest of the trim in the home.
This was a challenging project in a small apartment in Beacon Hill. There was not enough space in the apartment to do any work so the entire door system and the closet shelving had to be built off site. The left side will be used for jackets and clothing storage and the right side for utility.
In this project in Beacon Hill Mass we were asked to build a radiator cover without any ventilation in the sides or the front. The appearance of the piece as it sat in the lobby was more important then its functionality. The piece was built and designed to match the existing furniture and molding of the lobby. So far so good on the heaters ability to heat the lobby.
It is very important to isolate the section of the room you are working in to keep dust and paint splatter away from the rest of the room. In this project in Brookline Mass. we had to do a lot of sanding to the plaster on the ceiling creating lots of dust. The plastic wall combined with a shop vac helps minimize the dust.
